My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience. James 1:2-3 (NKJV)
Consider it a sheer gift, friends, when tests and challenges come at you from all sides. You know that under pressure, your faith-life is forced into the open and shows its true colors. James 1:2-3 (The Message)

Trying to count it all joy! Thank you and blessings!
I’m trying too; I’ve been in a bit of whirlwind emotionally this weekend.
AMEN!! HAVE A BLESS SUNDAY WANDA…AGAPE! 🙂
Hi Sister Betty. Always good to see you stop by.
Not always easy, but I am learning to find joy in all things!
Trust me I needed the scripture reminder for myself today.
It definitely is a wonderful gift Wanda, and this verse is such a good reminder that we can’t let our circumstances or others dictate our joy…or take it away from us! 🙂
I hope your week is joy-filled my friend!
Denise
Wishing you a joy-filled week as well Denise!
I am as patient as I’m ever gonna be….
I’m just so tired of being alone. Can I go Home now?
LOL…Elizabeth I do understand my dear 🙂
Wanda, this is one of my favorite verses. It reminds me that how I think, how I consider a situation, matters to how I go through the process. Trials are by no means pleasant, but we can have joy in the knowledge that we are being strengthened. Even through tears, we can have joy in the knowledge that our faith is working mightily.
Joy certainly doesn’t mean there is an absence of tears but verses like this helps to remind me that through trials come greater endurance.
Wonderful reminder of the truth!
I’m desperately clinging to this truth this week!
I love this verse Wanda. It always speaks to me! God is good, All the time…Praise Him in the good times and Praise Him in the bad times!
Yes, despite our circumstances, God remains faithful and good!
A difficult message – a good message, though. Patience is a tough virtue to pursue, because we have to be *thwarted* to have it develop!!
Trying to “count it all joy” – because in some way I am also sharing in the sufferings of Christ. And that is worth it!
GOD BLESS!
Embracing patience and joy during rough times isn’t easy and doesn’t always “feel” like the right thing to do but this reminds me it is possible.
Amen Wanda! Love this verse…the wine can’t come until the grape has been pressed and the oil can’t come until the olive has been pressed! Thanks so much for the reminder my friend! Thanks for dropping by and linking up…have a blessed weekend! 🙂
Oh yes the pressing doesn’t feel good but it produces power! Hope you & your family enjoy a Happy Resurrection weekend!
